GENERAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PUBLIC NOTICE The municipality of Poland administers a General Assistance program for the support of the poor. Pursuant to Title 22, MRSA ss.4305, the municipal officers have adopted an ordinance establishing that program. A copy of the ordinance and pertinent statutes is available for public inspection at the Town Office during regular town office business hours.
Persons who wish to apply for General Assistance may do so according to the following schedule:

MONDAYS 2:00PM - 6:00PM TUESDAY-FRIDAY 8:00AM - 11:00AM Additional hours are available by appointment.
IN AN EMERGENCY PLEASE CONTACT THE POLAND DISPATCH CENTER AT 998-2361.
Decisions are issued within 24 hours of receipt of a completed application.
